Fairground Society
The Fairground Society was founded in 1961 and publishes
a quarterly magazine called The Platform. In recent years the Fairground
Society has worked closely with publishers New Era Books in creating important
historical guides to vintage ride types.
In a similar fashion to the FAGB, the Fairground Society
is a gathering point of fairground and transport enthusiasts, along with
showmen from the Guild and non-guild sectors.
