Fairground Extravaganza: Saturday
January 10th
The 20th anniversary of the Fairground Association of Great Britain is being celebrated with a one-day extravaganza at the University of Sheffield's Octagon Centre on Saturday January 10th, 10.30am to 4.30pm. The event is open to the public and admission is free.
The interior of the Octagon Centre will be transformed into a fairground in miniature, as members of the Association mount a display of antique fairground artifacts, models and photographs. A fairground organ, built in the early part of this century, will be installed outside the Centre to greet visitors to the Extravaganza. The NFA will also feature in the display.
