Ron Kinder's collection came to the archive in April
2006, and the most exciting aspect of the recorded images appeared to
be Ron's early slides. These are dated from around 1963 and include Ron's
travels to the various preservation events as well as a few pictures from
local Derbyshire fairs. A full page on Ron's collection will be added
later. This final selection of images takes us into the 1980s, with some
rarer shots of the period...

Billy Crow's newly purchased Satellite at Loughborough, 1975.

Pearson's Lang Wheels Ark (ex Stocks) at Pilsey Rally, June 1975 - classic
Fred Fowle decor.

Arthur Holland's Maxwell Easy Rider, Mansfield, May 1976 - the ride burnt out in the 1980s.

Hill's ex-Southport Mont Blanc at Knutsford, 1976. The fair also saw Green's
final Mont Blanc take to the road.

This Jackson built ride replaced the Mont Blanc - and is a bridge between
the old style and the new Matterhorn of the 1980s.

Shaw's Moonrocket, Goose Fair, 1976 - the giant spacemen came from Blackpool
and later appeared on various sets of Jets.

A long-surviving novelty - seen here as the Tip Top at Mansfield, 1978.

Fresh from the factory - the Cobra at Hucknall, 1978.

J. Remblance's Franklin-built Paratrooper, Hunstanton, August 1978.

Stanley Thurston's Ben Hur in full glory at Derby Summer Fair, 1978.
