Ron Kinder's collection came to the archive in April
2006, and the most exciting aspect of the recorded images appeared to
be Ron's early slides. These are dated from around 1963 and include Ron's
travels to the various preservation events as well as a few pictures from
local Derbyshire fairs. A full page on Ron's collection will be added
later.

Melton Mowbray Steam Fair, 1965. In view are J. Wroot's Chairoplanes,
now in preservation with Harris Brothers.

Albert Barker's Ark, Derby Easter Fair, 1966. This is Ark A66 (new to
Fred Cox) which had many subsequent owners.

Standing alongside the Ark is Jervis' Waltzer - a Jackson machine (W103)
which went on to Mablethorpe.

This is an early Bennett Satellite at Belle Vue in 1967. The rides were
in rapid production from 1965 and were all very similar.

Jones Brothers' Waltzer (A208) at Stratford-Upon-Avon, August 1967.

H. Bishton's Cakewalk, Stamford, 1968. This is a turn of the century machine,
now preserved at Folly Farm.

Robert Franklin's Waltzer (W7), Stamford, June 1968. Rebuilt the previous
year by Maxwells, and scrapped at Majorca.

The Looper at Crich steam event, 1968. Presumably owned by Boyds at this
date, it was taken in by Bennetts in 1973.

Dusk shot of Elias Harris' Lusse Octopus, Goose Fair, 1968. Note the fashionable
hoods on the cars.

Stanley Crow's Satellite at Middleborough, 17th July 1969. Another early
Bennett machine.
